I was a little daunted by the 400+ pages. But this is a book, despite its length, that would enrich any household at all, but especially households with children.
I often make the mistake of assuming that very long books are written in very academic prose, but this one isn't. You could read, say 5 pages a night to a child as young as 4 or 5 and they would understand it well.
